Arriving at Copenhagen Airport
If traveling via Copenhagen Airport, you can continue your onward journey to Aarhus either by domestic flights to Aarhus from the domestic airport terminal, or by train.
Trains leave directly to Aarhus Central Station (Aarhus H) several times every hour from the international arrival terminal of Copenhagen Airport. The train tables can be found here: Sunday and Monday .
Train tickets can be purchased at the airport (vending machines or the DSB ticket office) or online in advance (print at home) via www.dsb.dk/. We advise you to reserve a seat (pladsbillet) to be sure you can stay seated during the entire train journey. The journey time to Aarhus is approx. 3 hours.
Arriving at Billund Airport
From Billund Airport there are several options to get to Aarhus. Travel schedules for the airport shuttle to Aarhus Central Station (Route 912X) can be found with this link: http://www.bll.dk/til-lufthavnen
Please note that Billund Airport (BLL) has better international connections than Aarhus (AAR). It is a bit farther away, but there is a shuttle every hour that will take you to central Aarhus in 1 h20 m approximately. Cash tickets can be purchased on the bus.
You can also take the airport shuttle to the nearby town Vejle. The bus ends at Vejle train station from where you have 3 hourly train departures to Aarhus Central Station.
Arriving at Aarhus Airport (Tirstrup)
There are direct airport shuttles (called lufthavnsbus, Route 925X) from Aarhus Airport to Aarhus Central Station. The airport shuttle leaves from just outside the arrival terminal shortly after each flight arrival (the bus will wait until passengers have collected their luggage). Arriving at Aarhus Central Station
From Aarhus Central Station (Aarhus Banegaard), Route 100 (blue regional bus) with destination “Odder” departs approx. every 15 minutes from the corner at Banegaardspladsen/M.P. Bruunsgade (to the left hand side when you get out of the main entrance of the railway station – marked with an A on the map.)
Get off the bus at the bus stop “Oddervej/Mindeparken” (approx. 7 minutes from Aarhus Central Station, ask the driver when you enter the bus). From the bus stop you can easily walk to the Helnan Marselis Hotel (400 m) (From point A to point B on the map).
You can purchase your bus ticket cash on the bus. Train tickets to Aarhus Central Station are valid for the onward journey with the bus
