A social responsibility platform for football clubs called Responsiball has ranked European top division football clubs according to their social responsibility revealing huge growth potential in this area.

In a newly released report, the English Premier League takes the lead when it comes to showing social responsibility. This is one of the main results coming from a new ranking released by Responsiball, a platform aiming at supporting football clubs at all levels in achieving their highest possible degree of social responsibility.

The leagues’ rank on the Social responsibility list have been measured by their level of environmental efforts, community engagement and on governance and the ranking shows that none of the clubs reach more than 50 % of their potential.

The ranking also reveals that wealthy leagues do not necessarily score higher on social responsibility than lower income leagues.
