International football conference during U/21 Championships

The conference Challenges for Football, 20-21 June in Aarhus, Denmark, presents an ambitious programme with a great range of interesting speakers.

During the largest football event to ever take place in Denmark, the UEFA European Under-21 Championships, you are invited to take part in an interesting conference focusing on some of the biggest challenges today’s football is facing.

The conference is organised by Play the Game and the Danish Institute for Sport Studies in cooperation with Aarhus University’s Department for Sport Science, UPDATE, The Danish Journalism Development Institute and Sport Aarhus Events.

During two conference days, sport scientists, football leaders and media will meet at the conference Challenges for Football to discuss an international football world that succeeds in creating media development and innovation while at the same time, on elite level, struggles with great financial and regulatory challenges and on grassroots level possesses a huge future health potential.

The conference programme is split into four tracks, spread over the two days:

The overall conference schedule will be as follows:

20 June:
08.30-10.00: Registration and coffee
10.00-17.30: Conference
19.30-: Conference dinner

21 June:
08.30-09.30: Registration and coffee
09.30-16.00: Conference
16.30-17.30: Reception at Aarhus City Hall

Price: 200 euro
Conference dinner 20 June (optional): 46 euros
Lunch, refreshments and conference materials are included in the price.
