Conference coverage on multiple platforms

Play the Game 2013, taking place in Aarhus, Denmark on 28-31 October, has so far attracted more than 320 participants and close to 150 expert speakers for the more than 35 different sessions and workshops bound bring new perspectives to and develop the international sports debate.

For the people who cannot make it to Aarhus, there will still be ample opportunity to follow the debates from the conference.

Reports from Play the Game 2013 will be available on multiple platforms and cooperation between Play the Game and the Danish School of Media and Journalism and the Danish Broadcast Corporation will ensure thorough conference coverage.

Live streaming from the sessions
The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) will be covering the conference throughout the week. Live streaming from the conference sessions in Marselisborgsalen will be available online on our conference page under "Live streaming" and available as video-on-demand after the conference.

DR will furthermore cover parts of the conference for their Danish TV and web channels and bring selected highlights and interviews with selected speakers.

Student conference coverage
Play the Game 2013 has established cooperation with the Danish School of Media and Journalism, which is using the conference as a special student project. The school will be represented by 15 international tv-journalism students and 12 digital journalism students covering the conference online on their own independent website and YouTube channel that are not editorially influenced by or affiliated with Play the Game.

Play the Game has cooperated successfully with the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) on previous conferences in 2007 and 2005, where the journalism students’ work added significantly to the coverage of the conference.

Conference photos
Photos from this year's conference will be taken by photographer Thomas Søndergaard, and will be uploaded to our Flickr account and website throughout the conference. Play the Game’s own coverage
Play the Game has teamed up with a number of freelance journalists covering selected sessions at the conference. Articles will be uploaded on Play the Game’s website during and after the conference, and special conference newsletters will be sent out by the end of each day.

We have opened up our Facebook and Twitter accounts and will be covering the conference alongside the students from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. We will be tweeting from playthegame_org using the conference hashtag #PTG2013. We encourage you to use this and join the conversation. You can also follow and contribute to our coverage on our Facebook page, where we will put up photos and articles during and after the conference.

External conference coverage
