Watch the Play the Game press conference at German Sport University Cologne from 14 September via streaming on the web. The programmes of Play the Game 2011 and Deutschlandfunk’s seminar on sport journalism in October were presented at the press conference.

Play the Game, the national German radio broadcaster, Deutschlandfunk, and German Sport University Cologne invited media representatives to a joint press conference on Wednesday 14 September at German Sport University Cologne.

At the press conference Play the Game’s international director, Jens Sejer Andersen, presented the programme of the upcoming Play the Game 2011 conference, which will take place in Cologne on 3-6 October. 

With a record number of speakers and 350-400 expected participants, the seventh Play the Game conference is heading for its biggest and most wide-ranging event.

Among the main themes on the conference agenda are the fight against corruption in sport, the societal value of mega-events, the continued development of anti-doping policies, gender discrimination and how to enhance grassroots sport.

Also present at the press conference was be Astrid Rawohl, representing Deutschlandfunk, who talked about the pre-conference on sport journalism taking place on 2 October at Deutschlandfunk, which will feature a wide range of leading German sport journalists, sport administrators and researchers.
