VANOC acts on complaints over placement of Olympic cauldron

The placement of the Olympic cauldron in the city of Vancouver has been subject of critisism since the beginning of the Games this weekend.
The 10 meters high steel construction holding the flame is placed at the centre of a square and has been surrounded by a fence making it difficult for the public to see the Olympic flame.
According to the Canadian Press, the local organisers of the Games, VANOC, have been working on a solution to make the cauldron more accessible. Early Wednesday morning construction workers were reported to be narrowing in the scope of the fence, allowing the public to get a better glance at the burning symbol of the Games.
