Maria Suurballe (b. 1961) has worked for Play the Game since August 2007 as a conference manager.

She is responsible for all practical planning of national and international conferences and meetings at the Danish Institute for Sports Studies, Play the Game and The Danish Institute for Non-Formal Education (Vifo). Furthermore she carries out various administrative tasks.

Maria Suurballe holds a Master of Arts in Spanish and Anthopology from the Universities of Aarhus and Oslo (1996), as well as she has done a semester course in Journalistic Communication from the Danish School of Media and Journalism (1993).

She has extensive knowledge in conference planning and implementation.
