Sports Department of RUV– host broadcaster for Play the Game 2007

The Sports Department of Ríkisútvarpið RUV, the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, has agreed to become host broadcaster for Play the Game 2007 inReykjavik, Iceland, serving as the connecting link to foreign TV stations.

Reporters from the Sports Department of RUV will be reporting from the conference every day for RUV’s daily sports news. To facilitate production RUV will set up its own editorial office at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik.

RUV will cooperate with foreign TV journalists and will, in the case of participants from less privileged countries, render its assistance free of charge.

Also, RUV will enter into an exchange agreement with the group of Nordic TV and multimedia journalist students attending the conference, allowing that its recordings can be used for internet streaming during the student project.

Buy conference footage and help for interviews

As part of the agreement, RUV will film a number of selected sessions from the conference. This makes it possible for television stations and journalists to order coverage from the conference and get help to conduct on-site interviews with participants in the conference.
