CONCLUDING REMARKS I have attended Summer Olympic Games since 1960 (except Tokyo 1964), Winter Olympic Games since 1984, World Championship in Athletics from the first edition in Helsinki 1983 to Gothenburg 1995, European Championships in Athletics since Prague 1978, and followed directly some of the bigger football and handball cups and Championships organized in Europe. My experience from national and international co-operation and negotiations on different levels, and with a considerable range of issues, has developed over a long period (35 years), and given satisfaction and established confidence. The personal contacts developed over these years are invaluable sources of information, much appreciated when consultation is needed, and not least a stimulating friendship reservoir. I have taken part in public debate over sport issues on national level for 40 years, as a writer of articles for press and journals, as invited speaker at seminars and conferences, and as a teacher at the highest academic institution for sport in Norway. My main qualifications are closely linked to operative management of organizational activity within sport and physical education, on national and international level.
