1976- : First Secretary Ethiopian Embassy Washington DC, United States of America

1977-1982 : Editor-in-Chief of the monthly African sports magazine "Jeux d'Afrique" based in Paris

1982-1989 : Founder and director of Continental Sports magazine et Digest newsletter, French/English publication, based in Paris, France

1986-1990 : President of the International Campaign Against Apartheid Sport (ICAAS)

Executive secretary of the organizing committees of the African Nations' Cup football tournament in 1968 and 1976.

Founding member and first secretary general of the African Sports Journalists Union (ASJU) 1970-1974

Individual member of UNESCO's International Fair Play Committee since 1970.
Honorary member of the International Sporting Press Association (AIPS) and the ASJU.

Jury member of several institutions.
