CV Khalid Ali has been Secretary General of the European Sports Security Association (ESSA) since October 2008.  Prior to working with ESSA, Khalid was an Account Director with Weber Shandwick where he spent almost seven years working with European Institutions and international organisations.  He began his initiation into EU affairs via an internship as a researcher to a UK MEP.  Khalid holds a Masters degree in European Law from the University of Aberdeen.
