Niels Nygaard is President of the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF) since 2007. Vice President of DIF from 2006-2007 and member of the Executive Board since 1992.
  • President of the Danish Athletic Federation from 1986-1992.
  • President of the Sport Foundation Danmark (now Sport Event Danmark) from 1994-2007.
  • Member of Danske Spil A/S Board of Directors.
  • Member of the EOC Working Group for Environment & Sport for All.
Through the years Niels Nygaard has been – and still is – very much involved in the fight against doping. Niels Nygaard has been chairman of various non-sport organizations. Niels Nygaard was born in 1953.
