KEVIN CARPENTERSPORTS LAWYER, HILL DICKINSON LLP Kevin joined Hill Dickinson in June 2013 bringing with him significant expertise in sports law matters. He is renowned for his work in the fields of sports integrity, match-fixing and sports betting regulation and has presented (and lectured) on these topics around the world, in Hungary, Switzerland, the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia. He has also advised clients on other commercial and regulatory sports issues, such as transfers and broadcasting. Kevin makes regular appearances in the media, including being interviewed on Primetime News Asia in Singapore regarding match-fixing, providing newspaper commentary on topical sports law issues and contributing to sports podcasts. In addition he has been quoted in a report for the European Commission and three times recommended by the INTERPOL Integrity in Sport Unit. Kevin is also a prolific writer and publisher having had papers published in World Sports Law Report, International Sports Law Review, Berkeley Journal of Entertainment and Sports Law (University of California), Sports Lawyers Journal and on the international online sports law resource, LawInSport - where he also has a regular sports law blog on a variety of topics and areas of sports law. He is currently in the process of writing a chapter on international sports law for a new textbook due to be published in 2014. Kevin is the former editor, now a consultant and editorial board member, of LawInSport. As well as his sports legal career, he is a qualified football referee officiating at the semi-professional level in the 11-a-side game and at the national level in futsal. He is also a qualified referee tutor and mentor.
